Last night East Texas was rocked pretty hard! As we drove home from church last night, we saw lightning in the sky that took our breath away! I can’t recall the last time I saw that kind of lightning.
The small community of Van, which isn’t far from us, was hit by a E-F3 Tornado. The destruction is hard to put into words; two people killed and dozens hospitalized. Our family was driving through this town the night before and now to see the aftermath of this storm, it doesn’t even look like the same place!
Many are stepping up and doing what they can to assist. My husband’s work, Direct Rehab Med in Tyler, has volunteered to be one of the locations where people can drop off food, water, and clothing (there is also a list of other items that are needed below).
If you are interested in helping out and just need that contact person to help give what you can, you can contact me or drop your donation off at Direct Rehab Med or any of the places listed in the information below.
